Two Houses

It’s funny where freelance writing takes you sometime. This week, I ended up in two rather interesting places.

The first place was a place full of old, forgotten stories. Even with all the construction drilling and wet cement, I kept wondering about the people who had been in this house – fervently planning revolutions from afar, determined to change the world they lived in.

The second place was a place full of sea breeze and money. I felt like I was in this suburban resort paradise where it seemed that nothing could possibly go wrong. And even if something did go wrong, you could always just hop into a yacht and sail around the world forever.

It’s funny. These two places cannot be more different and yet both are places where people are trying to achieve the same things – utopia, happiness, freedom.
